When pressed, it sends a ButtonPress event with state 0x10 and button 12and another ButtonPress event with state 0x10 and button 5 and yet another one ButtonPress event with state 0x and button 5 the last two being the same behaviour as if the scroll wheel was moved one step up.
But it didn’t help. Buttons mx5100 and 7 seem to not exist.
I lijux booted into windows, installed the Logitech drivers and tried to set those two buttons to something else, which does not need repetitive “autofire”. God knows if this helped I have no idea what I did, just succeded by very persevering “trial and error”, odd thinking and serendipity.
Button 1 mouse wheel button works as expected. I tried it under Gentoo with no problems. The state numbers all changed mx150. The MX had no adjustable resolution. Certainly not all steps and settings here will be necessary but I am too lazy and spent now to dissect which were reduntant, sorry.
