On Windows 7 x86 it works too! Well, it worked – somehow. The card should work allongside with an Audigy How exactly were you able to make all this work? Vista now has Sound! One would think that Vista support of this ancient audio chipset would be a pipe dream, no?

Regardless of the fact nothing uses them, it’s neat to have: And I’ve been loving without sound ever since, at least on the Vista side. I’m glad I have sound, even if Ai8830 can’t seem to find a way to make the Equalizer work.
Finally I installed the above mentioned drivers 5. I’m not as familiar with the AU as with the AU I have to say thank you. How exactly were you able to make all this work? So – has 5268.0 experience with installing a vortex2 AU under windows xp?

Don’t try it with DOS, you will be disappointed. There are a few with au’s with a different revision number au883 to have less CPU usage Vinx additional reasons: I am at work, so I can not currently look at what I saved. They enable A3D under 2K, but bug it so audio is lost quickly. One would think that Vista support 25568.0 this ancient audio chipset would be a pipe dream, no? The beta drivers I found searching around; I’m not entirely sure where I found them.

I’ve been seeing some strange issues that appear to be related to this driver. Will those drivers work in bit Vista? I google for my issue Audio halts after a few minutes of if I use A3Dand I see references to fixes or patches, but each and every link and source is dead.
I’ve removed the MegaUpload mirror link. I so remember when Turtle Beach was the shiznit. I can hardly believe they’d rip out the built in drivers for such a popular audio chip.

Then I checked the Action Center and it said there was a compatibility issue. The not so good: 25688.0 URL is fine — I just tested it. I include screenshot as a proof below and drivers. At first I got no sound, and was totally bummed, but eventually found my way to the Software Mixer app it should have been easy to find like in XP then muted and un-muted the master Speaker volume, and heard a “click” or “blip”, and I thought – this is a good thing.
I was hoping I wasn’t the only one out there still using this chipset.

I like its compact size and shape compare to MX, too sad thare was no Montego II for sale in my country. Yeah, right, that really arouses me, thanks.
There is no material that is knowingly illegal here. Best regards from Hungary! More stable drivers have been posted; please see my other post. The card doesn’t appear 25568.0 the device manager at all.
So I must rely on speaker’s amplification a lot; so it will be little noisy with average quality speaker. Please feel free to email me if that would be easier.
